Dongjiang again (再戰東江)

Not having caught the famed sunrise at the Dongjaing (East River)( 東江) the first day, our tour guide decided to give us another try the following morning. This time we had to get up 15 minutes earlier than the previous day because we would be going to two different spots.

The fisherman brought a powerful torch. 

It turned the canopy into a floating lantern.

and the whole boat into a torchlight in the dark.

This time, the fog was less thick and we got rather more details.

But with nature, you can never tell: the fog is thickening again.

Soon we were back to the condition the previous day.  

Everything turned misty again. 

When it got brighter, we began to have some ripples. 

But the fog insisted on getting its way. According to our guide, the band of morning mist would stretch some  5-10 miles during May and Octobers every year.

The sun began to emerge.

We got a bit of the sun's reflection in the water

But because of the mist, it was still rather blurry.

As on the previous day, upon sunrise, the fisherman started his net throwing.

Because of the haze, everything took on a yellow color

But at least we got some sun in the water around the boat.

Believe or not, the net thrower was our tour guide! Not a bad throw at all!

As the fog was thickening, we were very disappointed.

Not much could be seen: no background at all!

Still it was nice to see the belt of mist which completely obscured the foothills

We were taken to another small island.
 

The mist had cleared a bit.

There was a young couple on the boat.

The fisherman demonstrated his net throwing skill.

We got two nets, two men: one on the boat, the other in the water!

To add more fun, our tour leader started to throw some water into the air.

Too fun to stop.

Why not? What's wrong with having a bit of fun whilst working!
